Zermatt, Switzerland is the definition of a Swiss village. Cobblestone streets, stone roofs, alpine meadows and daily sheep herding are dominated by the view of the North Face of the Matterhorn. This climb allows for training and acclimatization on the rock and glaciers of 2 other 4,000 meter peaks. This is a technically advanced climb which requires prior mountain climbing experience and good fitness. Other peaks in the area including the Monte Rosa Massif (the highest points in Switzerland) are also available upon request. ITINERARY 

  • Day 1: Arrive in Geneva or Zurich, Switzerland. Transfer to Zermatt (not included), welcome dinner 
  • Day 2: Gear check, ride the Gornergrat railway, ascent of Riffelhorn for rock training, return to Zermatt 
  • Day 3: Ride Klein Matterhorn tram, ascent of Pollux (4,092), descend to Refugio d’Ayas Day 4: Climb the Briethorn (4,055m) and descend back to Zermatt 
  • Day 5: Ride the Schwarzee lift and hike 3 hours to the Hornlihutte where we spend the night 
  • Day 6: 4 am start time to climb the Matterhorn and return to the Schwartzee hotel to celebrate 
  • Day 7: Descend back to Zermatt for return departures
