This 3-day scenario-based course is designed as review and practice of evacuation and decision making guidelines, while also providing current updates in the wilderness medicine field … and it just so happens to take place in the coolest mountain town in Colorado! You have to recert your WFR, so why not do it someplace that you’ll actually enjoy?
Learning for this course takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions. Come prepared for wet, muddy, cold or hot environments.
There will be a written examination at the beginning of this course.
Prerequisites: You must possess a current (unexpired) WFR certification of at least 70 hours to re-certify through a WFR Recertification course. It is your responsibility to make sure that your certification meets this standard. If you are unsure, please contact NOLS before enrolling in a course or click here for more information. You must be 16 years old to attend this course.
